I ended up using a Judson Magneto, and the original points for the dual point distributor, much better than after markets, and added an o-ring around the distributor cap, and that pretty much curred it. I like the Judson, because points last twice as long. (passes half the amps through the points).It has a transistor trigger.
never got into magnetos, but they wouldnt let us run it anyway. they didnt wont to let me run the elc. ign.
