K, I installed a new filter, oil and pan gasket in the tranny and while I was in there, I removed the 1-2 valve and installed a stiffer spring. After having done so, I checked my T.V cable adjustment and set it once again, and the shifts take place at around 4000 rpm. So I removed the governor and re-calibrated it to an earlier shift setting, (heavier weights and heavier springs), and the net result,.... my 1-2 shift under light throttle now takes place at around 3,000 rpm, which also happens to be when my other shifts take place. I guess the 1-2 spring lost it’s tension.
