Little Giant Killer 3 body found... my new project
This car was campaigned in the early 1980s. I found the body in April and will be going to pick it up the 1st of June. My goal is to have a running, driving car on the track for spring of 2017.
The glory days...
As it currently sits:

The driver's side has some damage that I am aware of, but have not yet seen.
As to the power, it used to use a high winding 82mm (stroke) x 88mm(bore) n/a engine. It will have an 82x94 turbo engine in it. The goal is 280hp to the ground and 1400lbs with driver.VW power... More expensive than ever!

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
