    Back years ago he once grew a beard until he won at Indy where he shaved it off in the winners circle




    this morning when I turned on computer and facebook had a NHRA post with a pic of our front engine car!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Actually I believe he swore not to shave the beard until he went into the sixes.

    He did it bigtime because he didn't put together a six second pass until the final... then it was the second quickest EVER... AND he won the event with it!

    I agree! A lot more history included in the coverage this year. I think the race deserves to be treated this way. It is the "grand-daddy" of drag race events!
