For those of you who miss the "good old days" of heads up racing, here's a class for you to build a car for!!!!!

PS, check out the video, small tires do have a tendency to get loose when large amounts of horsepower are applied!!!!!!!

Oh good! I'm expecting delivery of my 275/55-16 M&H drag radials and 185/75-15 front runners tomorrow, for my '32. I wonder if they'll let me run without any roll bar? ...I know the answer to that.

Seriously though, those Outlaws will be some exciting competition.

Yeah, it is fun but unfortunately at the National level it's coming down to the guy with the biggest checkbook wins.... Locally it's not as bad, been giving some thought to setting up the old 'maro for it if nobody buys it when I get it going.... The 10.5" maximum width slick is also a fun class to run in!!!!

It always come down to the wallet. Can't be helped. Yes, the 10.5 slick is another great class, you will certainly find out who the real driver is on the little narrow tire.

Maybe NASCAR should learn from this! Dump all the spoilers and aero packages and give'em a narrow tire. Let's see who the real drivers are and who's the passengers!!

If getting squirrely down on the big end isn't enough fun for you, how about a 120 mph wheelstand in your 275 radial car?????

Wow, he really kept his head straight during that wheelstand to not hit the wall or lose control.

Control?? Control the back bumper?!?! ROFL.... I wonder what his shorts were like after that ride?!?!

I can fathom a Fuel car pulling that stunt... but a Mustang in the middle of a run, hoists the front to almost blow over!!??

    WOW! Just wow!!!

I've gone back and watched it a few times to see if it looked like it had been "worked over" or photoshopped. I'm no expert but, it appears like the real deal to me. I think it's just amazing!

It's the real deal all right. Same video is on Stang TV, Dragzine, and a couple other of the Mustang sites.... The driver must have some good connections with the Big Guy to get that Horse to stay on all four and out of the walls!!!!!! Either that, or he just used up a lifetime of good luck!!!!!!

AMEN to that!! But the horsepower/torque required to do that, that far down the track?!?!? Carry the front high enough and get enough air under it... but not blow over! WTF!! Just an amazing ride!! WOW!

Maybe about the place in the track where the front started lifting that the last stage of nitrous would hit??????

Good Point! I hadn't considered that. If I knew where he lived I'd send him a package of new BVD's!
