The one thing I'll always remember about Bob Glidden is the time he flipped the car, it came over on it's wheels..... Bob was out of the car uninjured, first thing he did was throw his jacket over the top of the engine to keep prying eyes from checking out the secret stuff!!!!!!

Dave, it was the hand fabricated intake that he was hiding. I also remember back in those days when the racers were experimenting with fabricated intakes you would see them try to hide the intake using cardboard and tape to build a box around them to keep prying eyes away.

A friend of mine (who was a Warren Johnson fan) and I saw that footage and my buddy was convinced that somehow Glidden was cheating! Even today you cannot change his mind! All the "experts" agreed that Bob was trying to keep his intake a secret as they all did at the time, but that won't matter to my buddy... In his eyes, Bob was and is a cheater.. too funny! I guess all my jokes about WJ having no success.. ok, basically a loser, had gotten under his skin!

    Those were great times!
