I sure feel sorry for anyone that see's him on the street and want's to run for title's.
They will be walking home!!!!
Remember when dragsters were trying to turn those times? Very impressive.
Don
wow would love to drive that car one time
Gotta wonder how many G's he was feeling! What a cool video Ken. Like the car too!
Was he driving on his slicks in the rain? That's like skaing in ice . . . with roller skates. Been there, done that. Generally not a good idea.
yeah watching drag week, you'd have seen a good bit of that.
Really impressive cars, great super fast times.
In my high school physics class the subject of drag racing came up. Our instructor informed us that some major physics gurus determined that top speed would top out at 180 mph and e/t would not be quicker than the low 8's. So much for the experts.
Jack.
Yep, I remember when they made that calculation. Said it was physically impossible to exceed 200 MPH in the quarter. Back to the drawing board. :o:LOL:
Don
Roger Huntington, an engineer/writer that some of you oldies might recall, about 1957 had a long article in Hot Rod that said the ultimate speed and time was about to be done in the quarter mile. This was about the time that cars were just breaking into the 150mph bracket and the 9's if I recall correctly:LOL::LOL::LOL:
Wo, When I saw drove it and 6.93 I figured it was 1/8th mile!
Absolutely amazing.
Pat
I see he learned everything I taught him:LOL::LOL:
I almost widdled my self just watching the video - that's just flat awesome!

Amazing!! Did you see how he gunned down that red rig?
I used to watch top fuel struggle for the 7's!
Ya gotta love them turbo cars. We have a guy local thats has a mustang that went 3.98 and then backed it up with a 3.95 in the 1/8. Thats HAULING BUTT. I like to watch the 10.5 outlaw cars any time I get a chance.
