    Bruton Smith ........

is turning out to be a cancer within the NHRA as well as within NASCAR ........... and the NHRA is turing out to be as greedy as NASCAR

Seems that next year Virginia Motorsports Park at Petersburg will lose its race ............. and Bruton Smith's z-Max Dragway will get a second date .......... don't worry about the great racing and record setting performances we always see at VMP .......... let's make more money at Concord ............. Glad to see that the NHRA remains as greedy as ever

Yeah, unfortunately it's always got to be about the money!!!!! We went down to the track a couple of times this year for the Friday night action.... It's open for test and tune, some match racing, and a gambler's race..... Very casual and laid back---and a whole lot of fun!!!!! Still dreaming about running a Pro Stock car someday, but I'm probably just a bit past my prime!!!!

Got to say old Bruton does know how to put on event, though when you're there it's more like a carnival then a race..... Got to say, I will be watching the event at Z-Max on the tube to watch the fuel cars make the 4 car passes!!!!!! Bruton probably won't be happy til he owns everything!!!!

I remember when he and Bob Baer bought the North Wilksboro speedway just to strip the dates for thier boring New Hampshire and Texas tracks..Bruton won't be happy till he rules the world..The 4 wide fuel cars were pretty cool though..I can't imagine how loud that had to be.
I remember when hot rods were all home made.

Seems like this guy is just in it for the bucks. Runs more of a "carnival" than a race.
