Good for Ashley, beats the old man. To bad he went up in smoke I wanted to see a better race.

That was some excellent racing at all levels. Really glad Ashley finally made it to the top, even though she had to beat her old man to get there. I've been waiting for that match up for quite a while, shame though that JF couldn't have given her a better run.

Anton Brown clearly showed he has the touch for TF. I really like Schumacher, and the race was close so I suspect we will see more of that matchup in the future. Also glad to see Edwards get a win, 2 years is a long time to wait for one.

Yeah, me too. But the way her team is coming together this year, and she's finally getting used to launching a Funny car, think we may have the opportunity to see another Force vs. Force final this season.... Surprised me on the interview with John afterwards, he was mad cuz he smoked em and lost!!!!! Then finally said she did a good job all day!!!!!

Well, John did the right thing by letting her have her day in the sun at the end by not jumping in, but it looked as if she was a little disapointed. Not sure if it was because John didn't join her during the trophy presentation or if it was because of his less than stellar run, or if it was just because she was just tired from the day's events. I'm sure he was also disappointed not getting is 1000 win by winning the final. So now it is on to St. Louis. If it is half as good as this one was, it will be a great event.

Wonder if her win will bring the naysayers out of hibernation? I would imagine that it will, as everybody is entitled to their opinion, even though sometimes it is best kept to oneself.

Either that or he just got fed up with listening to me about what a steep learning curve it is from Top Alchohol to Top Fuel!!!!!! Given an opportunity, I can nag more then any 2 women you ever met!!!!!!!!

Sure wish one of them Force girls would marry me!!!! Maybe I could make a comeback???????????

Wouldn't it be a hoot if Austin or Bernie set John's clutch up a little tight on purpose??????

They played some of the radio communications between John & crew, he was asking about the track right there....if they thought it would hold. He was told it looked good.....but who knows.....
