Thanks for everyones input.I thought I needed more stall and a little more gear and yall have confirmed that.I need to put her on a diet but without gutting it.She still has the origanal seats.It came with no a/c only heater.I could try taking some of the bumper supports out and do away with the bumper shocks with some lighter weight brackets.It also has power windows but I kind of like that,its nice to sit in the lanes with both windows cracked and still be able to roll both up quickly while belted in,it gets damn hot here in texas.
I dont have skinny front runners on yet either but I dont know if that would cut any ET off.I also have a nos 1/2" plate under the carb.I havent run nitrous yet but a fellow racer said his plate slowed him down 1/10th of a second when running on motor alone from what it ran without the plate.Have any of you seen this happen?Next time out Im going to take off the plate just to check.I also run a 2" spacer and I may take it off to see if its huting things.Do you think that if I left from a dead idle and stomped the gas that the converter would flash higher than footbraking it off the line?Also what about valve lash,my cam card says to set both on .023.Could I play with that a nd find anymore lower end power?And would a performer RPM air gap intake add any et with more low end than the vic jr I am running?Thanks again for your help.
