I remember watching a guy who was called The 'Flying Dutchman' run out at my hometown dragstrip in Santa Maria, Ca. back in the mid 60's.
If I remember right his name was Al Voonder 'sp?'.
And at the time he was running a black dodge dart funny car, with 3/4 of the roof cut off.....and just part of the roof was left where the rear window would be. Is this the same guy?
I use to go into the pits and talk to him, whenever he was running out there.
He was a real nice guy....always had time to talk and explane, and show you his car.Last edited by DHOTROD; 08-13-2007 at 02:06 PM.
