So you go out and buy a $500.00 brain bucket that meets all the specs for this year (2007).
Now come Jan. 2008 the Glendora Gods say OH! We now require spec SFI-whatever the F.........
And your $500.00 bucket is only going to be allowed for JR/Dragster...
If your helmet is in perfect condition with no signs of cracks or dings it is just fine and safe.
That looks to me like Simpson, Bell, etc. have some new product and they paid the NHRA to mandate a new spec helmet...................
