fram connectors - weld in or bolt on?

i'm going to be doing frame connectors on the nova this winter. i found a good deal on weld ins, and a good deal on labor to have someone install them for me, since i can't weld and i'd make a mess out of my floorpan anyway. my question is, in a car going mid 13s, or even a car running mid 12s, would it make much difference or should i just stick to the bolt ins and weld them in after they are installed? hey streets i want a real answer not a smart ass one (or at least a smart ass one and a real one) lol

Weld them in. You should think about adding at least a 6 point cage to add to the car, this will get a lot of the flex out of the chassis when used with frame ties.

yeah, maybe when i move up into pro, just running street class now! but i'm keeping this a street car, getting a 442 to build for footbrake and stock elimnator.

I agree, weld them in, and while you're at it, get the ones that allow you to move your springs inboard a couple inches and get the offset spring hangers for the back. Have the same guys that weld the connectors in move your spring perches, or better yet, find that 12 Bolt and have it fit in. I know this all sounds like lotsa money and may not be in your budget, but if you do all that stuff at once, it's cheaper in the long run. Being able to stuff a bigger tire under her with the springs moved in will make it a better streeter for sure.
