After building the engine for my son's race car over the winter, we finally fired it off yesterday. It's a 496 BBC in his 82 Camaro. My ears are still ringing.

Sounds good, Pro. What class will it be running???
He will be running Modified. It's bracket racing with a 9.0 - 14.0 spread.
To be honest, I didn't do much of the re-build. I was there for support, and to answer any questions that may have come up. I have to tell you that the smile on his face when that thing fired up was just absolutely priceless, and made me real proud once again.
Yup, that's what makes it all worth it, isn't it??? One of my Dad's best bits of wisdom he passed on to us kids was that if you can make life just a bit better for your kids then it was for you, you've been a good parent......
Kewel, Hafta' let us know what his first timeslips are.
How's the 60 project proceeding?
Way to go Pro 60. Kudos
Father's satisfaction is quite evident. :toocool:
We have one tiny little bump to get over. The tranny refuses to move the car. Hopefully it's something simple, then it's off to the track for some test and tune.Quote:

Things are back on track once again for my car. Shouldn't be too much longer, then I'll post more noise clips.
