There's too many variables to get an estimated et. Unless somebody has the exact setup in a 68 Chevelle it's just a guess. I would expect low 10s but the most important variable is drag racing experience. You really have to take it down the strip and fine tune it. You didn't say if the th350 is stock or modified. I would think this is the weakest link.

Anybody else want to take a guess?

As a basis for comparison, had a buddy with a 69 Chevelle, with a factory 427/425 hp, 4 speed, 4.10 gears. Through the mufflers on 9 inch slicks he ran 13.0s. Similar car, '70 Chevelle 454/450hp, 4 speed, 4.10 gears, open 2" headers, and slicks ran 12.50s. Both of these are at 1400 feet elevation. I don't know for sure how your engine compares to these, power wise, but maybe that gives a basis for comparison.

    3600 lbs heavy????

    Got you beat there.....

My wagon is 4100 ready to roll and goes 11.50's

I'd say that it should go 12's pretty easy. Traction might be the thing to work on. It might pull some good mph, but getting it off the line will improve the ET.

I run MTs. 28 x 10.50 and they seem to work great, i also notice quite a few people running goodyears, i would say the MTs would be the way to go.

All slick makers have tires in different compounds. Talk to the company or dealer and tell them what you have and what you want to do and have them make recommendations.

I run the MT 29.50x11.50 in my '68 Chevelle. 300 horses at the rear wheels put's me through in 12.4-12.5 @ 108. Weight wise I'm about 500 lbs. lighter but you're probably a 100 horse more at the rear wheels. My 125 NOS shot puts close to 100 hp to the wheels and gets me through at 11.5-.6. I'd guess that's where you'll end up.

superjim 427, I see you have 427 in this car and was wondering if you have had a 454 in this same car with something to compare to?And if so was there a noteable power differance?I have a 454 stock in my 72 chevelle with a 400th 373 gears and I really am seriously thinking about building me a 427.The 454 is a good motor to build but I'm curious about a 427.

No kidding aside, the main difference is -27 cubic inches. When you're talking HP per cu. in. it becomes simple math.

BUT, it sounds so cool when somebody asks what motor and the response is ****"427 Chevy"*****. Ooooooo, hit me again!

The 427 revs so much faster than the 454 i had a 454 out of a 76 suburban with junk 236 heads a peformer intake and a crane cam with 515 lift and it went 12.05. the 427 feals alot stronger not only dose it rev faster but i was trying to make more horsepower instead of tire melting torque
