    Eurothane rod ends?

Anybody here ran eurothane bushed rod ends on their 4 link? (drag race style 4 link, not a 4 bar)

I am building what I hope to be a fast street rod and kinda think I want to try them. ....but not if it means the car will want to squirm/wander under power.

I use them all the time. The quality ones like from Pete & Jakes, not the cheapies. They are a bit "softer" on the suspension, which is probably helpful on street tires. Their consistency is a bit down from a heim joint on hook with slicks but negligible. They work great, just spend a few extra $$$$ and get the good ones, not the junk.

What length bars do you run on your 4 links? A short link would be affected worse wouldn't it?

How aggressive are you on your 4 link set-up? What kind of horsepower?

I've always been told to use chrome moly rod ends if you are gonna race..........

Heim end clank, clunk, and jingle constantly down the street. They are IMO made for racing. I had a '34 coupe with a blown 514" Motor in it. Front and rear suspension was all Poly bushed ends. I like long 4 bars on the street, at least 24", mainly to allow the geometry on the rear end to remain more constant. Rear 4 bar on a drag car is an entirely differet world. On a drag car you are only worried about hook and weight transfer, on a street car you will blow the tires off it long before you hook it hard enough to realize any adverse effects from poly bushings.

I used urethane 4-link on on a 30 A-bone sedan, full-fendered steel, 9" Ford w/ 4:10 gears, top-loader 4-speed behind a 454 Chevy. Rode like a slot car, and ran high-11s / low 12s on street tires. Never had a problem. Dave is right. Use good un's from someone like Pete & Jakes or So Cal.
