Can't Find Right Drag Shocks
Alright my 48 Ford pickup is getting some upgrades for next race season and my main goal is to get traction off the line, i already have drag radials which were a night and day difference compared to street tires, but it still wont hook off the line, im moving the battery to the bed, taking the gas tank out and putting a fuel cell in bed also, im also in the process of getting some cal-tracs bars, but the one thing i cannot find is any kind of drag shocks for the front end, i cant find any double eyelet 90/10's anywhere, im scoured summit/jegs, but nothing is there except stuff for vehicles with coil overs, dose anyone know where i might be able to find a set of double eyelet 90/10's, its stock suspension with a straight axle so i know these gasser cars are getting them somewhere, i just can figure out where, thanks for any help

Been there, done that! There is a solution, though. I went to see my friendly NAPA guy, went through his picture book on shocks with all the dimensions on stroke, compressed length, extended length. Found the correct shock with the correct end and found it's application, then called Moroso with a specific application and the got me some drag shocks.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Did you use the part number of the correct shock for that vehicle, or was it for a different vehicle with the same specs? I have the part number and specs on stock F1 shocks, so all i would need to do is call moroso or their equivelent to see if they carry them?? Thanks for the help1948 Ford F1: 12.99 @104 *New Best*

Try D&D Race Technologies- They helped me with my 03 Mustang Cobra. 507-527-2026- Denny is owner. They are located in Minn. They even rebuilt a few of my shocks.

If you find a tech guy who actually wants to look, the specs on the shock should be enough for him to match them up with a drag shock equivalent.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Alright well i email moroso and the guy said that they dont carry any double eyelet and to contact strange engineering, so i need to contact them, lt1s10- i looked at those koni's and they may be a deffinent possibility, dose it matter that they were designed for circle track cars or just order them to my specs, which if i understand right, the greatest compression force and then adjust it to the smallest rebound would give me a "90/10" style shock correct? Thanks for the help guys

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
