    Mopar Question

     



    Back in the 70's mopar offered some sort of A body kit /race car
    base on Duster/Demon. Anyone know the story behind this?

    It was a richard petty wanna be race car look. Gas prices kinda killed it tho.

    I Think it Was Direct Connection

     



    I think it was still DC at the time,and way before the Aspen/
    Volare. Came roll cage ,suspension stuff.Remember as kid
    seeing it in a hot rod mag.

    I believe that the kit was used to race the car as a dirt track. If I remember correctly, the car came with a disassembled roll cage that needed to be welded together, and a sheetmetal body kit. The car used small block engines (usually either 340 or 360) and 4 speed manual (owner supplied). I can't remember if the rear end was included or not. It was sold thru Direct Connection.
