Howdy fellow hotrodders-
I am in the market for a glass (can't find a steel one) '32 Ford tudor sedan. I am looking at Gibbon's. Anyone out there have any experience with their sedan bodies? If so, did you get any cost break? Retail on the hiboy roller is $17,600.
How about Redneck or Hertiage?

Real hotrods don't have fenders...
No offence but for 17,600 you could probably find an old already built and driving streetrod for that price.
I agree........aint worth that much to start a rod

The Gibbon's make really nice products and if you have problems they'll stand behind them, RedNeck also makes a great body much better that Heritage in my opinion, RedNeck is extremely strong too .BeBops makes a good body too and it's strong, but to my knowledge Pete does not make a 32 Sedan, but does make a 33 Vicky Body for $ 6150.00 . I somewhat agree with Stude , you can go on the inter net and find a project that someone is abandoning and wind up many $$$$ ahead. Go to http://www.streetrodding.com/sr/?fuseaction=home.main there are several there a nice 34 coupe if I remember right , in fact it's a roller with the drivetrain too. Redneck and Gibbons are both good bodies. Check around for some dealers, you can do better on the price than that. All the new stuff is high. Tim has the right idea, lots of projects around at bargain prices if you don't mind researching.
Sounds to me like Roger has his heart set on a 32 Tudor highboy!!! ;)
From what I've seen the Redneck body is one of the best on the market... A friend of mine has been looking at one of their 34 Tudor bodies and after looking at them in person I'm convienced that they are one of the best sedan bodies out there...
No offence, but you obviously have not priced a Streetrod lately, and for sure not a 32 Sedan...Quote:

Well what would I know, I think cars should actually be fast rather than dependable. Thats the whole difference between a streetrod and a hot rod. One drives like a new car and the other just drives like a bat out of hell.Quote:

BTW... While I cant think of any streetroded 32 sedans off the top of my head for 17,600 or below, ive seen plenty of 32 roadsters in that price range.

ANY example of a 32 Roadster for below $18K... I doubt that you can find a junker steel body for less than 30K...
I've know of plenty of fast cars that look good too, but they cost money to build...

Ive seen several of your basic glass, 350/350, boring as dishwater 32 roadsters up here for sale. Just go to any decent sized show around here and just about every 3rd car will have that "for sale" sign on its windshield.

No Pics huh.... Sure there are plenty of Roadsters for sale at the local shows, I am sure that not a single one of them is going for 18K...
If there were good examples of 32 bodys around then companies like Brookville would not be charging an arm and leg for their bodys and have a waiting list a mile long...

Hey im a rat rodder, and I like to find the all time rattiest around to take my pics of, I wouldnt waste my time or the film on a billet rod.
But seriously, I can think of two 32 two door sedans that are just sitting in a field. Theres a 34 five window thats been sectioned into a 3 window sitting in a side yard near me for the better part of a decade, I know of several model a roadsters that can be had for around 1500, and theyre rollers.
