    Brighter Tail Lights

What are some good options for brighter tail lights on my `32 Ford? Has anyone ever tried those "brite dual filament" bulbs? Since I have limited space inside with no shelf for third brake light pedestal any suggestions there too? Gotta do something before I get run over by some distracted driver!

I use the LED's in my 34 lights, they are maybe twice as bright as an original.

Led bulbs seem the easiest and cheaper way to go. I read somewhere you have to change out the blinker for some reason going to a led bulb. Any other electrical issues I should know about?

I replaced the lights on my 46 with super bright LED's. The style I used replace the lens with a self contained package that plugs into the regular bulb socket.

They are seriously bright. At the last show I went to, I was backing up at night and a fellow standing behind me commented that my brake lights were bright enough to blind you.

I've tried the LED "bulbs" and was not impressed. They might work fine in a tail light with a very good reflector, but the old pre-war type lights don't have much of a reflector at all.

I believe this is the company. I bought them at the NSRA show in Knoxville.

I hate hose led tail lights, I've followed some kid's pickup with led and it leaves spots in your eyes if you follow them too long. At first I thought his brake lights were stuck on until I seen them light up, It was almost blinding.

A thousand apologies if you ever have to follow me! It's the cell phone engrossed SUV driver I'm trying to impress.

Now if you want to talk REALLY bright, I once followed a guy on a motorcycle over the mountains near Pigeon Forge. He had brake lights that flashed brilliant red every time he hit his brakes. They were so bright that I followed him until he stopped just to ask. Turns out they were programable LED patrol car flashers. Very tiny, but super, super bright. I think you could have seen them from a mile away. They were bright enough that you couldn't look at them long, but they did get your attention.

Get a light to go in the top of your rear window. O e which blinks.
