Who said blue guts in a red car don't work?
Not me . . . Nice job.
Stunning!!!!
Thanx Jack. Tim is knockin this 1 outta the ballpark
Well, didn't I say it would look absolutely brilliant, now I can say " I told you so " haha... Actually I have seen a rod down this way with very similar colours and it looks magic as your car does. Tim the Tool Man or should that be the Scissors man, is doing a fantastic job as usual for you.
Looking good ! Remember the yellow Menotti that was yellow had a blue inside !!!!
Sure do Jeff, and it looked killer.
I remember Ron Mangus tellin me I was nuts to do it in an Orange 1.
When he was done he changed his mind .
Told me thinkin outside the box worked.
What happened? The pics of the seat outside of the car looks to be a suede material while the seat inside the car is shiney.....not suede. Also, outside the car the seat didn't have the blue piping but inside it did. Plans get adjusted in mid stroke?
The seat with the blue piping was in another 32 I did a few years ago.
The 1 on the bench is the 1 goin in the red 1.
Both are dead cow, don't do suede in anything.
AH, understand now...thought there was some magic happening
Sure do LARS 2014 Great Greybeard Adventure BBQ
That would be on the top of my bucket list, Florida Keys across to LA and back driving a Rod with a whole bunch of like minded folk. Absolutely brilliant....
Mark (Whiplash23). 2 in the pic were from Florida,
1 from Alabama, 1 from North Carolina, 1 Kentucky, a few from Texas and the others were from god knows where. we had 15 cars @ my BBQ (fed over 50 people) and picked up more on the way out to L.A. Even had 2 guys fly into Florida from "Downunder" 1 from NZ and the other from Aus and ride out with us.. Fly over and ride along next year.
This pic was from the 2013 group here only had 8 cars that year.
pickin it up 2 morrow
Very nice Don!
Headliner looks like a perfect fit, very smooth. Nice Job.
Thanx 4 the Kudos guys. They all go to my trimmer Tim Rein.
Is that blue or gray? Hard to tell from the pics.....:)
Tim is really good at what he does. Impressive job!
X2 as above, Tim the Stitcher is absolutely brilliant at his profession and deserves all the praise given. Amazing how a trim shop can make or break the look of a car. You have done well again Don.
I do intend to do the fly over and drive the USA roads sometime but have to wait until my full time job of caring for Mum has finished, which I hope isn't too soon otherwise the family might wonder what I fed her in the way of poison or something. LOL.
It's back, just a little detailing and it'll be ready for a new home.
There is $500 in it for any 1 who shoves a buyer my way
If my wife wins the lotto, we'll be down to see you. (I don't play because I have not so great luck. So she buys the tickets! ) Haha
I understand the box for the gas tank, but what's taking all of the space in the passenger side behind the tank besides the battery? That seems to have really cut into the trunk space! New owner better plan on a hidden receiver hitch for his little trailer.
Tool box/ detail stuff there also Roger.
Trunk area is bigger than it looks, put a small travel bag (4/5 days, I travel light) 2 folding chairs, and 3 12 x 12 boxes in there this afternoon and still had room on top of the tank.
Also there is $500 in it for sum 1 who finds a buyer for me

correct on that, plenty of room in these even with that 14 gallon gas tank. We had full soft side bag for my clothes for me, another full for my wife, another for coats and sweat shirts, another for bathroom needs, laptop computer, gallon of gas, souveniers bought along the way, another bag full of screw drivers, wrenches, etc., a jack to lift for tire change if needed and more in this trunk for three week trip.
Apples & Oranges, Gary. My question was why the box behind the gas tank enclosure, to the right side of Don's trunk was so big, thinking that there must be a lot of wasted space if it's just the battery. Don answered that, saying that it's a place to keep some tools & detail stuff, so that the trunk still looks "clean" at without having all of your tools & clean-up stuff sitting out under your chair at a cruise, which I've gotta admit is not a bad idea. Besides, Don's trying to find a new home for his newly done 3-Winder here as opposed to us talking about what the trunk will and won't hold.
Glad you had a good trip, and looking forward to your thread with pictures.
No BIG DEAL Roger, Just sold the 3 winder to a previous customer in Phoenix
