I like it. Do you have a thing for gray?
It's green. Don't do resale red, yellow or orange either
Must be a subtle green. Looks gray on my screen. I still like it. Details?
Does that tonneau cover seal? If so, I'd be curious to see some close ups of the edges if you don't mind. I want to build a flush mount one for my '66 F100.
You have a knack for finding these things don't you!
Randyr, here ya go.Just a piece of 1/2 channel on the side and then the lip on the tonneau closes into it.Drain tubes @ each end. Simple
Thanks, Don! Is there any kind of rubber seal on the lid? How is it hinged at the front?
No seal needed this way, 2 spring loaded slide latch/bolt @ the front.Randy
Lol! It never gets boring at this guy's shop. Always something new. Ya gotta love it.
Awesome looking RPU. Any bump-steer issues as a result of the cowl mounted steering arm?
Non what so ever Lakeroadster.
Wow, and I was just falling in love with the '36 Roadster and it has gone... What are the plans for this '32 or are you reasonably happen with it ? Did you do much to the '36 before it found a new home ?
Only thing done to the 36 was put gas in it and drove the sh*t outta it, Mark
A couple top off shots
Nice dash!
Lots of really nice features on the RPU - '40 dash, cowl steering, flush tonneau cover, guide lights and more. Just curious, Don, did the guy who you took the '36 to have the RPU and want something different, or did you manage to find the RPU in the area you were delivering the '36? Not a big deal, just wondering....
I have always loved the way people have adapted the '40 dash panel into different models of cars and boy oh boy, it certainly looks excellent fitted into this '32.
Guy with the RPU wanted the 36 REAL BAD, so off I went to the land of OZ
BTW Roger, the RPU is a total 1 off build. 111" chassis, cowl stretched 4" cab stretched 2" , hand built bed, leather interior, heater and side curtains. 355/700r4, goin to a Halibrand quickie on 1/4 elliptic springs. It's a work of art, as nice under as it is on top 1 of the top 100 picks in the us by Street Rodder Magazine to boot.
That's an awesome RPU! I like everything about it.
Thanx 40FordDeluxe
Both Don and Uncle Bob always seem to migrate back to the Deuce in one form or another. Even Roger has drug one home. Maybe the members here could make up a "top ten list" of Deuces that have made the Forum pages. A "Top 10 street rod" list would be great also. The 60's era five window Don just recently sold would have to be one of my favorites. Paint isn't everything.
Don's smart, the way he does it he makes LOTS of money. (I've heard he rolls around his living room rug naked in piles of hundred dollar bills, giggling like crazy, after each deal............haven't seen it, and don't have pics...........don't want to either:eek:...........just a rumor:3dSMILE:) Me, I'm stupid about it, but I do provide a better than living income for people with junk to get rid of.................
I shoulda known......................first liar doesn't stand a chance.............
