Henry Ford steel 5 window defrost vent suggestions

Can some of you suggest a defrost vent that I can fabricate or use with the stock original steel dash panel on the 32 five window that wouldn't require altering this panel too much? I have the Vintage Air Gen II Compac unit. I tried the "search" tool, but didn't find a thread that would help me on this. Thanks

Without butchering the dash not an easy task.
Got me a steel 5 winder now

Haven't done it in a '32 but take a look at a VW bug. They have a comparatively small vent head designed to fit behind a fairly tight, flat dash.

Or get a pair of defrost connectors from VA, adapt them to fit, and glass them to the under side of your dash with a small slot cut against the glass for the air to blow up on the window.

I extened the dash panel back about 4 inches so there was some room behind it for the gauges and the heater/ac/defroster.There might still be some photogs of some of it in my gallery/photos

I'm tempted to have someone with louver dies to punch two louvers in my dash panel and build duct boxes and bolt or tack weld them in. Don, I hope to get over your way to look at your 5 window.

Now yer thinkin the right way, 2 small louvers will do the trick. Shop door is always open.

There are small louvers on locker doors. If you can find an old locker door you could cut and graft a couple of them onto your dash.

A nice small hose to run are those who have the CPAP breathing machines. I had to use that setup and saved some of my hoses just for that. LOL

Thanks for the suggestions. I will keep them in mind. Still hoping to find someone to cut a couple of louvers for me.

If you find someone with a Pullmax, the louver tooling can cut longer louvers to give a larger "vent" area...
