Hey, I'm writing a short story about a guy back in the '30s who just bought a '32 v-8 coupe. I need a little help with some information. Did the coupe have a rumble seat? And if so, did the seat take up all the storage space? What I need to know, could you fit a guitar case (for a classical body, not the larger dreadnaut style) in the trunk and close the lid?

Welcome to the forum! I hope that you have reasons to stick around other than this one question, but if not then you should leave a satisfied guy! The rumble seat was an option. The buyer either had a trunk, or he had a rumble seat. With the rumble seat the storage space was limited to the foot space in front of the seat, plus some space atop the seat bottom, but only what would fit as the rumble closed and the seat back pivoted forward. If the rumble seat was open then something larger could be toted around, but it would be exposed to the weather, and also clearly visible/available to anyone walking by if the car were parked and left unattended. One person and a guitar case would fit easy, two people and a guitar case would be tight, but would probably work with the neck upright between the two passengers. Make sense?
Hey Jokerman, if I may ask, is this story taking place during and in the West Texas Dust Bowl and will it be available for the public?

MelloYello-- my short story takes place in 1933 around Lubbock and Justiceburg, Texas. The dustbowl doesn't really figure in, though that's a very interesting subject. It's about a pulp fiction writer and his great Uncle, who was kidnapped by Comanche Indians when he was a kid and adopted into the tribe. I hope to have it on Amazon.com soon.
