Nice looking ride .. Like the 61 chevy in the next bay too.
Thanx
Just finished the 61 Bubbletop 3 weeks ago and sold it last week.
Gettin picked up Monday and goin to Florida
Nice '32 hi-boy roadster. Congrats and good luck with it. With that fold-away roof I guess it's a Dearborn Deuce? Being it's yellow, it reminds me of mine :)
Nice! There is something about yellow deuces . . . :)
Yep a Dearborn .
Very nice, I notice the electric windows that are fitted in the doors too and that it has air conditioning. How well do the doors, windows and top seal for the air to work to an acceptable level. This is the first Roadster that I have seen with the hidden folding roof, is it manual or electrically operated ?
Hope you didn't pay too much for it either Don as those exhaust pipes look a wee bit suspect I believe ?
Can't believe you run across so many good looking rides and then make them even better, waiting for the "new look"......... jealous as hell
Slammin BIG headlights down on the frame rails,Goin to steelies BIG and Little's and drop the front 1 more inch and the back 2"
New headers and full hood sides
Man, I hope this one knocks your socks off and you keep it for a while. At least until Father's day so we can check it out. Really nice.
Nice looking ride!!
Wow, nice 32! That is a really sweet roadster!!!
Somebody wanted it more than me. Went to Alabama yesterday
Hell, that must be a record ? Did you have time to fit the exhaust or was the new owner in such a rush he or she drove off without them ? So, what is next or do you have something under your radar already ?
Darn close to my record.
Got this 61 Bubble 3 weeks ago and it went in less than 48 hrs
Also filled the 32 hole with this 2day
And it is already fitted with the big headlights down low on the frame just as you and I like them. Tell us about this one when you can please with photos, oh that is if the camera battery is charged up before a new owner has offered you silly money on it and it has flown the nest...
yep, that sure was a fast turnaround on the yellow Dearborn. I'd also like to hear and see more details about this green one.
Post deleted...
The green will B black soon, swappin out the windshield and top for a Rodwell/Wanless windshield and top (this top and windshield is 4 sale)
Gettin rid of the short 4 bars for long hairpis
Big and little steelies, my usual fog light, and then DTPOOI.
It's runnin a very healthy 327 with a 200r4 behind it.
This 1 only had 155 miles on the clock when I got it.
Where did it start it's life, Don? Shop build in Alabama? The first time I saw this one I wondered, "Why gloss black the frame and then satin green the body?" I'd be shooting it black, too, but I'd keep the Halibrand look-a-likes & rubber - just my likes. Will the body have to come off the frame, or can you do it all in one piece? (other than the doors & trunk lid off & gas tank drop, of course....)
Friend of a friends build.
All done very hi quality, the builder just didn't like it after done.
Wonder why ?(Flat green ??????????)
I'll pull the doors, deck lid, hood ,rad shell, gas tank, w/s, top and interior, bag the rest of it and blast away.
At least the bottom of the body ain't green, it's still black.
It's all personal preferance Rog,
Case in point: Tried to sell my Vicky last year for 2 months, repainted it in a week and sold it 3 days later.
Pics attached
Yep Green (shney) with a black chassis
Personal preference, for sure. I remember the Vicky well, and that it sold quickly with a change in color - that green (shiny) really fit the body style well, and while it had a certain "cool factor" the Salt Flats Utah graphic on the side really reduced the market in my eyes.
Whose body is the flat green one? I don't recognize that trunk detail on the body, with no formed drip trough.
I'm just tired of shiny bling in yer face wheels Rog.
Even having Dick (Rodwell )powder coat his windshield frame black
Goin for more of a 50's look on this 1
Will break up all the black with "Tommy the Greek" style pinstripe that will match the interior and the wheel color
The body is a RussnoMorre, (nice body, my last 5 window was 1) There is a drip trough
That is another nice ride as well! You sure have the nack for finding them!!
Thanx 40Ford
Uh Oh! What is the Avitar? Did you get another one?
No Ray, That's 1 I had a few years ago.
It got a lot of ink in the mags. Sold @ Barrett-Jackson
Sure, I remember that one with the cool hood straps and the blue light, just didn't remember it's butt. Someday it sure would be fun to pick through your photo album of past rides. Do you have any idea how many have pasted through your hands?
Ray, (scooting) Stopped counting 15 years ago, @ that time I'd been thru
over 300, not counting 1/4 mile cars, sprint cars, salt cars boats, or motorcycles, or the 1's I rolled @ the small car lot I had @ my Body Shop in So Cal for 10 years.
Do know that I've been thru 13 already this year, just picked up # 14, a 69 Chevy short stepside which will roll outta the shop after the first of the year.
