I didn't want to receive the car until the end of this year to give me time to work on a couple other project cars under construction but I did send Davviki $500 just to hold the price firm. Sounds like I better rethink this deal before I send a full deposit on contructing the car for me. Cars he had on display down here at Turkey Rod Run the last couple years were put together and fit real nice and he delivers free next November to that event so I figured that saved me a thousand dollars in shipping or my traveling cost and is part of the reason I was going with him. And I want the frame special with bobbing front and back, C-Notch rear, full pinch front rails and car to sit as low to the ground as humanly possible without channeling body over frame. But with others getting bad welding and real bad bodies from Davviki I don't know. I built a new 37 Ford from Oze Rod Shop and that body was perfect with no bondo to prepare it for paint. Then on the other extreme I bought a new 34 Ford from Coury Davis in Atlanta area and that body was a nightmare to get straight with a good gallon of bondo on a little 3 window fenderless coupe!!!! I do all my own body and paint work but no sense in spending lots of hours to fix a body just to save a thousand dollars. And the wife will probably keep this car till she dies so it has to be right. I will have to give N&N a call and see how much extra they charge for all the frame upgrades I need.
And thanks for the help on the hood straps guys. We will buy the leather strapping and parts to make our own just like is pictured above.
