Burn out? Happens to everything, maybe everyone is in their happy room slinging wrenches, they sure as hell are not working no jobs. It will pick up again weather is cooling down and folks are running out of money.
Is that your face or did your pants fall down?

I've just looked at several other forums that I either frequent or have had some passing interest in at one time or another. All of them are down in participation, either in sheer numbers of folks posting or the level of "quality". Without any statistics other then gut feel, if you are of working age (whatever that is now) you are busy trying to make ends meet - and that's more then just financial. Kids, relatives, jobs, homes, other interests are vying for your time. If you are retired/out of the work force and living on savings and Social Security - have you been to the grocery store lately? Put gas in your DD? Put a new roof on your home? Beyond expensive now and where does that leave your car hobby when it comes time to buy food vs. a new intake manifold.

If you want a wake up call, spend some time drilling through the numbers and back pages here, particularly the far right column: U.S. National Debt Clock : Real Time

Yesterday, that proudly announced 8.6% unemployed - pure unadulterated BS. It's really about 18% (24MM divided by 140.6MM).

    Wonder why it's slow

I am now gone from this forum for now - finally have pulled the plug
