When I wired my Model A, I used terminal strips inside the car for easy dissassembly. The only downfall is pulling the wires out the grommets. I couldn't find bulkhead connectors large enough or nice enough to use.

GM used bulkhead connectors in the 60s and 70. You could get one at a wrecking yard and rewire it.Livin' on Route 66
