Thanks for the replies. I have the c-notch completed, but I remembered the post showing the reinforcement plate that would be placed in the frame rail from the top and straddle the c-plate and weld in from the top and bottom of the frame rail down its length. I think this type of reinforcement was used in the aircraft industry. It just looked like it would be much stronger as it would be like two narrow frame rails side by side at the c-notch area of the frame. This may be overkill. I don't know.
