    I like to use a section of pipe for my " c " notch . With the frame boxed, then trim out for the section of pipe and then weld the section in. Dress up and detail ... Done :d

    Here's a tip--make sure you cut the notch so it is slightly longer in front of the axle because your axle will be coming up at a slight angle. If you make the c-notch directly over the housing, your axle could rise up and hit the front edge of the c-notch. Ask me how I know. *#@%&!
