Seen em go for more than that.
i like the 36 3 window not to bad of shape even the fenders he said are bad look ok always want one or a 36 chevy
I actually think they are " unattractive " :D
But being from the HOT, HUMID Southland ... I never saw any until about 15 years ago ( @ Hershey ). I had one a few years ago. Got it with a coupe I bought. SOLD IT for almost half of what the coupe cost me.
At that price you could call it the "holy grill."
Bob, on another forum someone recently posted that they went to an auction and some guy paid $ 47K for the Deuce shown below. Some felt it was nuts to pay that, but I guess a Deuce is a Deuce and is worth whatever someone feels they must to own one.

Yeah Pops, this is kind of a weird market to figure out. Gennie stuff like that coupe, and nice restored stuff like the Pines front seem to be holding up well. Other stuff is showing a lot of weakness. It has the feeling of what the hot rod world was like a bunch of years ago. The rare/premium/hihest demand stuff is at the top of the market, the more mundane wallows a bit. Just completed a round of ebay sales and for the most part bidding was anemic, not awful, just lower than the past couple years have been.
That's because it's a 3 window. Rare indeed. If it was a 5 window, would have gone for less than half of that!
I've been trying to buy this one for awhile. I'll probably have to give up, he doesn't want to part with it.

The Pines Winterfront is a love it or hate it deal. The fact many go for stupid money doesn't make it any more attractive. Here's one I saw on a car last year.

my vote yuck! I would not give 10 dollars for one. Just my two cents
Well Pat, you've still got a few more hours, just over $20k so far;http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT
Those rear fenders are pretty roached, but a decent pair go for at least $2500 so they're definitely worth repairing. I've had some of those EMS patch pieces before, and I generally like their stuff, but those need to be sectioned a fair bit to fit, they're oversized for the actual fender.
I'm kind of surprised the money this one is pulling in today's economy, must be because it's pretty intact by eastern US standards. I know of a local one that sold less than a year ago for just a few dollars more and had good paint, upholstery, and chrome. Didn't need body or rust repair, and already had hydraulic brakes. Basically a good turn key car. Hard to figure sometimes.
well he should be happy with that? i would its about 15000. more then i would give if i had the money to throw out there :3dSMILE:i work on them fenders .a customer of mine had one with a hot sbc in it. got his foot jam under the gas and brake? shot the car thru is block garage:eek: took the grill out and the front fender look like a mud flap but it was rust free but had the stander cracks from the lip and wire was loose but better then what i could find so i bump out the fender to the point were no filler was needed so them fenders do not look to bad :D
