I have the paint cans in another Garage so I will get you the info later this week.
OK, I FINALLY went over to my other Garage and looked at the paint cans. Sorry to say but there are no numbers on the can, in fact I couldn't find ANY information on the cans. Sorry but I tried. You may just want to give the Dupont paint code to a PPG paint guy and I'm pretty sure they will give you the PPG paint code for that color. This is pretty much what my paint guy did. Sorry I wasn't to much of a help on this one.
Hey Guys,
Sorry I have not posted on here in a LONG TIME but the guy I am building the Graffiti Coupe for has not had the money to keep the project going so I have been a bit of a stand still with the project. Once the project is back up and going I will start up my post again.
In the mean time I found out that a New Age Motorsports Body (maybe chassis) made into the AACA (Antique Auto Club of America) Museum in Pennsylvania. I thought this car had a Graffiti type flair about it so I wanted to do a small post on it. The coupe looks like it just rolled out of the 50's and right into the Museum. Now here's the thing I don't understand (just one of the things in my life....LOL). Aren't these cars that go into this Museum supposed to be original steel???? If so someone over there was fooled by the curve ball big time. But then again I know first hand how the NAM bodies fool people as it happend all the time when I was taking this project to car shows........ I guess in the end we really do end up what we pay for..........;)
Anyway here is the coupe and the name of the owner is Dick Railing. I pretty sure he is one HAPPY GUY at this point with the coupe!

Talk to you all soon
Rick
Nice coupe for sure. Hear yah about money being tight and projects on hold, same here, but I still have lots of low budget body work, wiring, etc... that I need to do! Just don't like to do! :)
Thanks for checking for me. I tried to do a search for the DuPont code and came up with nothing. I will give the code to my paint guy to see what he comes up with.
Thanks again.
Beautiful looking coupe!!
Don't feel bad, the economy got me and I'm out. Can't do no more. All that money & time invested, Gonna take the kick in the pants and sell mine for whatever I can get out of it. I really hate to, but sometimes ya just got to do what you got to. I'll list it under parts... Sad...
I noticed at the beginning of this thread the 4 carb Offy intake and then I ran across this: Offenhauser 4 carb manifold with carbs for SBC someone posted on another forum that the real "Graffiti Coupe" had a Man-A-Fre 4 carb setup and this ad for the Offy is untrue referring to what was on the real coupe,so what is the real truth?
The original Graffiti coupe has a Man-A-Fre set up on it. The add posted on the other site states that it is the "same style of set up" as the Graffiti coupe. It should state that it is a "similar" style but not the exact same....Hope this helps.
Thanks Rick for the additional picture of Ron Wolcott's Coupe. I bought a recent Street Rodder magazine with their 2012 calendar, and Ron's Coupe made I think June. Awesome car! Ed called me the first week of January, and he started my 32 5 window Coupe. I'm so excited! I'm bringing up the 521 stroker/C6 in early February for him to set in. I can't wait to pick it up when it's done. Here's a pic of the engine, with the new Sanderson Jayster headers with 3" dumps I bought for it. I also picked up some cheap Hoosier 29.0 x 12.5 R15's for the rear tires. A local guy on Craigslist sold them both for $275! They are like brand new.

A Ford in a Ford!!!!!! Way to go Pat!!!! Good thing you found a deal on tires, it never really seems to take too long to burn the first set down to the cords for some reason!
Thanks Dave! LOL I wouldn't have it any other way; Ford in a Ford! I was looking for a little taller and wider tires, but I couldn't pass up that deal to get me going. I can't wait to get my Coupe!
OK BOYS, I FINALLY HAVE THE GRAFFITI COUPE PAINT CODE IN PPG! Yes, after a long wait I finally have the code as I had a long talk with my paint guy today so here it is:
PPG 83849
My painter said there may be a few variations to this color but he told me that he used "PRIME" on the coupe I am building as he said this is the TURE COLOR of the paint.
Hope this helps you all out and sorry for the LONG WAIT. But like I say better late than never.....LOL
There are a lot of things that dictate color ,Temp. humidity. air presure and others
Hello Everyone,
This is a very quick update on the American Graffiti Coupe Headers. After the long wait on the headers I am happy to say that they are now COMPLETE and FINISHED! Yes, Ed & Chris have been working their asses off making sure these are 100% to the original coupes headers. In fact the photos from my last Graffiti Header update are different then these photos. That's right kids, Ed & Chris saw some things that that just weren't quite happy with so they went back to the old drawing board to make these things 100% PERFECT! I don't think you will be able to go and look at any Graffiti Coupe photo out there and find ANY difference in these AWESOME HEADERS that Ed & Chris made. You all know how ANAL I am when it comes to this car and I can't find one thing different from the original!
OK, with all of that said these headers are ready for order. With that being said there is going to be a price increase do to the upgrades NAM had to do for the headers but don't worry is not that much. The original price on the headers was $1000 (plus shipping) and know the price is $1200 (plus shipping). Now here is some good news, if you are a member of the "Milner's Mafia" you get to take $100 off the $1200 price which makes your final cost $1100 (plus shipping) and for those of you who already sent in your $1000 for the headers, Ed & Chris are going to stand by that price for you guys.
Now here's the deal, IF YOU DO NOT SEND ED & CHRIS ANY MONEY FOR THESE HEADERS THEY ARE NOT GOING TO GET MADE FOR YOU! SO MAKE SURE YOU CONTACT ED & CHRIS WHEN MAKING YOUR ORDER, YOU CAN CONTACT THEM AT info@newage-motorsports.com OR PHONE THEM AT (203) 268-1999.
DO NOT CONTACT ME ABOUT THESE HEADERS! I REPEAT, DO NOT CONTACT ME ABOUT THESE HEADERS!!!!!!! I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MAKING OF THEM NOR THE SHIPPING OF THEM!!!! IF YOU WANT ANY INFO CONTAINING TO THE HEADERS YOU MUST CONTACT ED & CHRIS AS THESE ARE THE ONLY TWO GUYS MAKING THEM AS I AM NOT PART OF THIS PROCESS!!!!!
I would like to inform everyone that these headers will sit just like Milner's headers if you are running Big John's setup. If you have a different setup the headers MAY sit a little different on your car so you may want to talk to Ed & Chris about this. I PROMISE you that you will NOT find any nicer or more accurate headers than these ANYWHERE! MANY, MANY, MANY LONG HOURS have gone into building these and according to Ed & Chris they are a REAL BITCH so I really doubt that you will be seeing anyone else make these headers and if you do chances they won't be right and the the price is going to be MUCH HIGHER.

I Hope you ALL enjoy these headers and if you aren't even going to buy a set for your car you should at least call or email Ed & Chris and tell them what an AWESOME job they did on building these headers.
Ed & Chris are now waiting by their phone ready to except your orders!!!
Your Graffiti Brother
Rick
Those look great Rick! The guys at New Age are something else. They just sent me some update pics on my Coupe and I'm in awe. You won't find better quality and attention to detail anywhere else. IMHO.
Hey Guys,
Just a quick update on the Graffiti Headers. My good friend Jim who is building Graffiti Coupe (he's not going for the 100% look) just sent me a photo of the headers installed on his coupe. Jim's coupe is a Davicki Body and Jim is building the coupe himself in his own garage. The Headers have been hot jet coated and are pretty damn near close to chrome. Jim said they look like polished out aluminum. Anyway here is your first look at the headers on a graffiti coupe!

Ceramic coating is the only way to go. Chrome headers will rust no matter how meticulous you are about keeping them clean. I know that from personal experience.
I was at New Age with Ed and Chris yesterday to pick up our Coupe, and he showed us that picture. Ed had to modify our #4 and #8 tubes on our Sanderson headers, so I'm probably going to send them and the rest of the exhaust when it's done to get Jet Hot coated like that! Great finish.
Rick, I'm just finally taking time read other posts again and I was wondering how your Coupe is coming along? I can't believe it's been a year since I last posted in this thread. I hope and pray you are doing okay.
hey rick big skip from maine jonesn for an update I joined the mafia and haven't heard a thing since whatup?
I hope Rick is okay.
Rick lives (or lived?) in the KC metro area, north Overland Park as I recall, and at one time he sent me his address but it was in the PM files that got purged long ago so I no longer have it. He's been AWOL here for almost two years....
when your looking at firewall should the yellow paint be showing around inside edge or should that be black like firewall
dbe Ed from New Age inside edge should be black.
Ed, do you know anything about Rick and his project? It's been a long time since his last post. Sure hope he's alright.
racerx1699 1st off Rick is just fine. When he was building his 32 A/G coupe he had taken on a guys build from England, also he was in a hurry for the body and Rick offered up his, deal done, we'll need less to say body money nor working capital is slow to none. Now Rick wants his money for the body 1st before anything else so he can start working on his own. Mean while he's building "Supernatural" clone cars. ednam
Supernatural impala ..... that's just too cool!
Somebody tell Rick the links in his Project THX website are breaking, a lot of the parts supplier links don't work anymore and I can't get to the classified/video link anymore. Also thinking about joining the mafia but if it's not working anymore either why bother. I/We have been watching all Ricks Graffiti stuff for a long time and would hate to see it disappear.
Thanks

Question? Are both the front and rear tires E78-14's? In pictures of the real Deuce the fronts look smaller, shorter
Thanks
As noted above - http://www.clubhotrod.com/deuce-den/...tml#post516377
Rick's last post above was March 2012, and his last log in was September 6th, 2012 almost 29 months ago. No one here has any better way to reach Rick than you do, via PM or e-mail - just click his screen name, and you'll have both choices, assuming he hasn't changed his e-mail address.
Dragon front tire from Coker tire = US Royle 695 - 14, Rear G70 - 14 Goodyear = Kelsey tire frt 25" - 26" rear 27"-- 28" ednam
he has a Facebook account well.
Are you saying that Rick, "project thx 138" here, has a FB account? Has he finished the project? Can you capture a few pictures and post them here for closure? I think there are several people who would be interested. My interest is that he's kind of local for me, within 40 miles of metro neighborhoods away.....
I don't believe he ever finished the car on this thread. I believe it is on hold for now because of funds from the owner. His Facebook page shows him working on Supernatural Impalas.
