Anyone but me notice that the 58 Impala with the supposed 348 and 6 strombergs sounded just like a stock chevy small block and not like a 348? Did the car really have a hot 348 engine and they just used the wrong soundtrack or was it just a stocker on the inside.
 :LOL:Quote:

Because John didn't like the Beach Boys' song that was being played, using his right hand, he reached but did not lean, towards the center of the dash. Then he went through the motions of turning off his car radio, that was to have been, located in the center area of his dash. However, several magazine interior-photos revealed the fact, the car that he was driving had an eight-grand tachometer and a speedometer in that area of the dash. John Milner's car never had and still does not have a car radio.
Hey guys, newbie here. Lookin at building a replica of the 32, but i'm havin trouble findin alot of technical info on the car as well as good pics. I've hit up the American Graffiti website and checked out the link to the current owner's site. I also haven't been able to find a 5 window body yet, anyone got any hookups?? I'm not going to try to hunt down a Man-A-Fre, but use a Hilborn injection setup, converted to FI, from one of our old sprint car engines. I'm fairly new to the street rod end of things, did most of my stuff in 4x4's and fairly current street cars. Is it a dropped front axle, body channeled, anyone with anything remotely relevent let me know.... Thanks.....
So is it the floor mounted or the indash DVD that you have in the "T-Pail"?hehehehe:D :D :D

Geez Streets, can't you just enjoy something for what it is? Personally, when I watch American Graffiti, I'm too busy checking out Milner & his car...NOT his steering wheel or lack of radio... :3dSMILE:
i noticed that when the 55 was flipped over in the race ...it had cheap stock silver painted rims on it and a few of the other thangs durin the movie you guys have talked about...
