New 32 5W owner
Well, not only am I new to this fantastic forum, I'm also a new 32 5W full fendered coupe owner (steel body/'glass fenders). I took delivery of my coupe last night around 7 PM and since it was dark, I couldn't really check the car out that much BUT what I saw I LOVED!! I only got to drive it about 5 miles through Imperial Beach to the garage I rented to keep it in but the whole drive was a blast! My wife followed me over and asked on the way home whether or not the coupe had a speedometer. She said I was going a little fast a few times but I didn't think so. I did NOT buy the car to "hot rod" or speed all over the place. At 59 I'm a little beyond those urges even if I do/might "punch it" ever so often. I mainly wanted another cool car since I recently sold my Cobra replica and '69 Hemi SuperBee and I've always had a yearning for a deuce coupe.
I initially wanted a "Milner Coupe" clone and was even thinking of making one out of the car I bought. However, the look of my car has "grown on me" after drooling over and over the many pictures I had of it and now I'm pretty darn sure that I'll keep it as is with the exception of possibly changing the induction to something with a little more "eye appeal" (like maybe a 4x2 or crossram setup). There are a few other things I want to add like a front spreader bar, etc.
I suspect this will be the last car my wife will tolerate unless I win the LOTTO. I think I made the right choice!!

Congratulations on the buy! I'm envious that you found something that fits your "wants" and were able to make it work. Like Dave said, some pics would be great!!

Thanks for the kind welcome(s) and I'll try to post some pics with this post. I am VERY HAPPY with my coupe! I got to check it out in the light of day yesterday afternoon and while it's certainly not a "showcar", something I really didn't want or could afford in the first place, it IS going to be a great cruiser for the local "cruise nights" that take place all around the San Diego area.
