door lock,
My roadster has the standard door handle inside, round knob
push down and the door opens. The problem is the knob keeps getting pushed down and the door opens when driving. Any fixes? pictures would help, I'm thinking maybe a arm rest, to cover the knob, don't know.

My only comment is that the standard inside door handle for a 1932 Ford Roadster ... does not have a round knob. They have a lever type handle that is tucked into the door panel and have a metal ring around the opening. Photo enclosed of my 32 roadster with the original 1932 Ford henry issued handles. They do not move up/down

I have installed bear claw latches , they are located by the rear of the door and work as I stated, down to open, can't go back to original location without making new door panels.

can you post a photo of current handle so we can see it?

With the bear claws there are any number of things you can do with door pulls but the easiest would be to put in a set of Suicide Door Safety Latches. Julianos has them as does Rocky Hinge and Autoloc.Dave W

The extra latches do work well. I have a set in my 32 3W coupe. I got mine from Carolina Machine ... the folks who won the best NEW product with them back a few years back @ the NSRA Nationals ...Going 33 and 1/3 rpms in a IPOD world

It would be nice if this up and down crap would cease.
