my 32 frame build

sup jesse. i appreciate your resopnse. im glad to hear that there are instructors there who know what they are doing. this is going to be a big step for me to move out there if i decide to go, not to mention it will drain all my money so i just want to make sure its a good idea. like i said i will be out there this weekend with my pops. i think we will be going to the car show on sunday, we are flying into town late saturday night. chances are ill be at the school for most of the day monday to meet everyone and check out the shop. i have a slammed full sized 1979 gmc jimmy i have been workin on slowly for the past 5 years or so, if i had the means to bring it with me from cali to sd would i be able to work on it in class?? or do they provide project cars?? even better are there any cheap old school projects out there??roadsters or sleds????? let me know....

as for working on your car i believe doug would probly let you if what you were wanting to do to it had something to do with the class section you are in at the time 3 students here brought there projects with them ill send you pics in a PM and the 32 roadster frame ive been posting pics of is dougs project that he has me working on there are plenty of old cars up here to buy and build you just have to find them im still trying to find a way to get my 69 chevelle up here

right on... i kinda figured it might be tough to get my personal vehicle there and worked on.. however it is far enough along as being a project worht it... i am at the point where i am ready for air ride... and since its a blazer it will be tought as hell to do in the rear end... i gotta put a monster notch in with a triangulated 3 link or 4 link set up. plus i gotta re-make the rear portion of the floor which has to be air tight.. i also have a bunch of custom body work i want to get done on it, like gettin rid of the fiberglass top on the rear.. and replaceing it with a molded metal top which should be chopped a few inches afterwards.... if you go to hillshotrods.com and check out the blazer they have you can see what i mean as far as molding a metal top to it goes....

damn thats a nice notch... if i brought my truck, would there be capablities of taking the body off the frame and storing it there??

chances are i will sell it before i leave anyway.... i want me an old school lead sled or roadster... speaking of which, in the refinishing course is there a section about using lead filler?

ya u can take your body off to work on your frame in the shop its part of the process and i do believe i heard we will be working with lead filler

right on... i guess ill just wait and see what the hell happens... i will probably sell my truck before i leave for SD in order to get some extra cash to help me live a little easier... hopefully i will be able to get some other older project while im out there... especially if we are using lead... i might have some more questions between now and next weekend, ill drop a line on here, respond if u want otherwise ill be in SD sunday and monday... peace jesse
