I'll be there w/ the roadster but outside. All the egos are inside the building. Maybe next year, no time this year to detail to that level & get the shaver out for the tire nibs.
Come find me & my car & I'll buy ya a brew.

I was there last year ... and the LA Roadster show.
Not in the cards this January to travel from South arolina to Los Angeles
Maybe Pomona on Father's Day ( LA Roadsters ) this June ...
:D
I bought my car at the LA Roadsters show this past year. My car was parked pretty close to yours in that pic you show every so often. Probably several rows over- almost under that big tree. There were 6-7 cars there in their group, all from Arizona. I bought the nicest one.;)Quote:

Maybe this June ... under the big tree @ La Roadsters :)
I will definately be there. I've been going for 20 years- 2008 will be the 1st year for me in a roadster. Can you see my grin from there?:D
Will you be in the "Drive-In" or the parking lot? Since I didn't register for the "Drive In", I don't know if I'll take my DD or rod.
I'm registered for the Drive-in. Next year- I'll try & do the indoors show.
Ken, you must have very "rod friendly" neighbors to get away with your driveway detailing project! But........I will bet they still made a POLICE report on whoever stole all of their landscaping rocks the night before the GNRS. Better put them back when your done. LOLQuote:

John,
Thanks we just got home. I drove it home and hit one hard rain area, that was fun, I think I was actually lucky with the weather.
We made the phony rocks out of that expandable foam I got at the Home Depot. It looks like my truck really did take a dump
Ken
Way kewl display Ken!!!!!! Well done!
Dave - Thanks, it was fun. The quality of the cars just keep getting better. Not just the pro builders the average cars are unbelievable.
Ken
Welcome back Ken. Your truck looks great, bet it was well recieved and you had a blast. :) From the pictures I have seen posted so far it looks like it was a terrific show this year.
You have to give us unfortunates an insiders view of what it is like. Do you get to hang around with your car and talk to people like a regular show or not?
Don
I saw your car....uh truck. I was there drooling over the wheels. I think I'm going to have to buy a car so I can get a set of those! What size are they front & rear? I thought that was your ride but never saw anyone standing around it.Quote:

Pretty cheesy award for such an expensive show.

Don,
Yes, you can do about anything you want with your display, but I'm to much of an introvert to hang around my truck. But you could see me a couple rows over looking at it once in a while.
Ken
Steve,
I did see your car, that thing is really nice. But I didn't know it was yours.
Ken
Ken, you keep mentioning the introvert thing, but I see you not being so much like that as of late. We are seeing a lot more of you lately, which is good. Maybe you aren't as introverted as you think. :D :D
Dan and I were just talking about us needed to start going to some of these events around the country. I would love to see the Suede Palace cars, and those parked outside like Steves32. Those are the real hot rods and customs to me.
Don
I'm comfortable here.Quote:

I don't have a photo, but there was a '49 Chevy in bare metal that was really nice. The front end looked like a '49 Merc. I could go on and on. If you ever do decide to go my offer stands. (you don't have to rent a car you can use my McLaren)
Ken
Nice Ken! Where's the model?:D
