But do they fit the running boards and have the right curves on the rear sides to the boards - which is where most folks that I've talked to have had their problems.

I hate to say it ... because I am NOT a repro type of guy ... but they fit real good. They actualy fit better than the original 32 fenders on my 32 3W ... The only give away that they were not some NOS Ford pieces was the little braces that catch the fender to frame bolt and goes to the rear hood latch hold down. They are not attached ( come loose in a bag ) and the shape is not exactly like the original ones I have.

Brookville radiator shells are a joke ... IMHO and I do not like the rear seat reveal on the 32 roadster bodies ... but the front fenders were A-OK ... in my book.

They must have gotten their act together on the fenders - finally. At $1200 a pop for a pair I'd hope so.

The grille shells take w-a-a-a-y too much time to bring to reasonable shape. I have at least 40 hours on mine just to fit the hood (right side at the top), take out the creases down each side, and level out the depressions on the top. Plus my Dale's grill wouldn't fit in the opening without some metal caressing. And according to Gollahan, they "fixed" those problems. Bull pucky - Dick Spadaro had 2 that he had just gotten in and they were worse then mine and the several that Brookville had at York were poor as well. Brookville/Gollohan and I have had some interesting conversations over the past few years - none very pleasant.

I do KNOW that you and Brookville have a history. So I was not surprised to see you post on the good review of them ... But they are NICE ... He may have gotten lucky ... His car was elsewhere and my 3W did not have it's fenders on so we put them up to my coupe.

They fit the running boards great ... and fit the frame area where the three bolts ( and the hood latch brace ) goes. The gap was about the width of fender welting ... ( 1/16th or less ) and was consistent ... the entire length.

We did not drill any holes because he was going to install them on his car. When he got his car out of storage ... they fit his car as well as they fit mine.

    Deuce,
In a conversation about Brookville products, I have to at least make my presence known - and try to let a potential buyer beware of what he might get. And with my being vocal, folks will know that the product is NOT a bolt together project. With that said, and the fact that I am vocal about this, a builder can plan accordingly. However bad they may be, they are still better then patching up a rusted 75-80 year old relic. And I also hope that Brookville will listen to people like me belly ache and build a better product.

I'm glad the guys fenders fit well - and hope that it is part of a turnaround for their QC. It might be that I got the Monday after a holiday weekend car, but what I've seen since then is about as poorly factory assembled as mine was . Too many hours fixing vendor screwups does take a lot of the fun out of the hobby.

I was as surprised as you ... maybe more ...

Almost every early Ford repro part I have ever been around was junk ... and did not fit as well as it should ... especially for the $$$ spent. I could never understand reproducing a part and it NOT being exactly like the factory did years ago.

Now ... I have a friend with a 55 Chevrolet and he buys a good bit of reproduction Danchunk stuff for his 55 and it seems like NOS stuff ... maybe better. Wish Danchunk would get into 32 Ford stuff ...
