well the sandblasting is part of the process , but remember you have got to have a frame with no filler in it unless you use metal prep that is high temp bondo that gets hard as a rock but a beoch to use and also has to be done in coresponce with the blasting and before the powdercoat is applied so you really have to work w your powdercoater , mine was in town so it worked out for me

You can sand powder coat and paint over it. We have a place here that powder coats frames. And they can blast and coat it for less than the cost of blasting and conventional primer. I know several local rodders that painted their powder coated frames with excellent results.
