and actually love hanging out with, and learning from guys that have been doing this stuff for many years, (even the grouchy ones ) but if more guys my age don't start gaining interest, those large numbers at the NSRA events are slowly going to get smaller and smaller.

Maybe I'm too tolerant, but I just figure everyone deserves to be able to participate if they are into it. I can have just as much fun BS'ing with a guy who's got nothin' as I can with a guy that has a stable full of top notch hot rods....
Unfortunately ...

Most of the younger guys cannot afford a pre 1949 Strret Rod ... and a lot of them have no interest in them. A old car to a 30 something is a 60 something vechicle. Nothing wrong with that ... just a fact. That is one of the reasons GG is growing.

GG events have their place. And I understand the " Under Privileged Rod "
I have worked two jobs most of my life ... ( one as a government employee ... and we ALL know they do not make any serious $$$ ) ... You just have to set your goals and work towards them.

As far as BS ing with folks ... that is what we are doing here ... is it not ??? At the events ... you sure can get some DUMB questions ...

Randy ... one of the old Grouchy ones I guess ...
