I think Ron is right, no matter what we do, they are just going to be noisier than a full length system. I have heard that Harley Davidson dealers have stock baffles that have been removed to install racing ones for their customers. One post said they simply throw these away, and will give them to you. I find that hard to imagine, but maybe. In any event, these could still be bought from them and one slipped into each tube.

Some guys have made their own too, using a long tube, punched full of holes to divert the exhaust flow through them. Some have even gone to a commercial janitorial supply house and bought stainless steel wool cleaning pads, and stuffed those inside each tube.

I'm going to make my own baffles for the Limefires on my T, and if it is too loud, I will try the steel wool trick. I just hope all the cops I encounter have a sense of humor and are car enthusiasts themselves.
