Here at the pic.
fill it and put the body line back in the add on filler piece
i think that is how a stock one looks?
I just dont like it. Show me what you would do.
i think if you fill the wheel well slash part up on a angle it up to the body bottom belt line ?
Get a fuel tank cover, easily made to hide the frame rails, too.
I think these are what you need.
eBay Motors: 1932 32 FORD frame horn cover GAS TANK frame TRIM (item 320065752925 end time Jan-03-07 14:03:14 PST)
Personally, i don't like the filler strips. Thats how they are and it looks ok to me.
I do not think these covers will close off the area intended. If you look at the cover you will see mounting holes that are shared with the rear spreader bar. Also note that one of the covers has a relief to clear the gas tank filler neck. With that in mind, look at the pictures of the body and you will see these covers will not come close to closing off the area intended.Quote:

This is how a original 32 3W looks ...with the fuel tank installed. :D
I noticed your body does not have the same shape below the decklid
Also ... no recessed area for the fuel tank neck ... SO ... IMHO ... you will have to fabricate something to match your body ...
Deuce ...
can you give me a smiside shot or that part on your car.
Sure ... might be a day or two ... I am away from the coupe for a few days ...Quote:

I'm at this same point with my 32 roadster build. I did not like the (IMO) "unfinished look" of the open corner area between the gastank and the frame on my fenderless Rod Bod highboy.
Steve's Auto offers some metal corners that can be fab'd to fill the area but there a little pricy at $350/pair. So, I took a damaged cruiser motorcycle fender and cut it down the middle and then cut some patch panels out of the halves for the "compound curve" part needed for the corners. These were installed on the corners with some flat sheet stock on each side formed to match the original body lines. It looks much better now.
Sorry no photos yet.

The body is OFF the chassis ... does this help or I can take a close up shot ... :)
If you could a side back shot would be better. I cant see the side to well.

Is this what you're talking about?
no i am running the stock tank. i was talking about where the body and the rear fender meet and the body line is about 45% kinda looks bad as a high boy
But i may just leave it i guess it a stock body thing.
Thanks again Dave
