I used to sell stuff on ebay, and whenever i upload pics from my camera, they automatically go in that photo folder. I'm trying to get this thing titled as a street rod here in PA and they tell me I need to have wipers and mirrors, and i want to see how bad they'll look.
Joey, C.W. Moss sell a clamp on w/s wiper that can be removed when not needed that I was thinking about getting for my roadster. Don't know if it will work for you without a w/s frame or if PA would accept it. It might be worth looking into though. They have do have a website that I believe lists their w/s wiper motors.
Just my opinion , but iwould check about fenders , im not sure? dont want to burst youre bubble. but i think you need them ...not sure though ,pa is tough ... i know , i live here too.
No, the fender/bumper law was repealed this year. To be honest, if i could get some decent pics "showing" that my car has wipers and mirrors i think i could get a plate for it. ;)
Maybe you'll get it registered, but how will it pass inspection????? I used to live PA years ago. Did they change the inspection laws????

Hey thanks! Any chance you could clean that up a little and add an oval rear view mirror to the glass too? If I could get a couple side view pics showing the same type mirrors i think my evil plan may work.
Thanks just the same Denny!
I cant see the pics but you can email them to me and I willsee what I can do.
I titled mine with a regular Pa plate. Did not have a problem. I dont have fenders but I do have mirrors. Inspection guy said no problem and with a original '32 title I did not need pictuers. Easy to get a title
Now I see the pics..... I agree with the manual clamp on wiper takes 2 minutes to put it on and take it off....no tools needed.
I like the mirrors
Iceburgh, Yes, just getting a regular PA title would be no problem, but how can you get your car inspected with a regular PA plate and no fenders? From what I know, the only way no fenders/bumpers are legal is PA is if the car is titled/plated as a street rod. Do you have your car inspected, or just tagged? I don't think my inspection mechanic would overlook the fact there are no fenders or bumpers on the car...
good luck buddy, she is a sweet ride! i think you will be ok
It is inspected and a regular plate. Inspection guy told me it was a loop hole and for now it is legal.
Just telling you what he said....gave him $22 and drove away.
You can see the sticker here

and the plate

Never heard of such a thing... Any chance you could ask the guy what this "loophole" is? Anyone I've ever talked to said its only legal to go fenderless if you have Street Rod plates.
Seriously! Where is New Bloomfield anyhow? I don't even know where the old one was....:3dSMILE:
love the beach....
15 Miles North Of Carlisle. Takes me about 2 hours to get to Johnstown. I have a few good freinds that live thereQuote:

He confirmed that they should carry a windshield wiper unit that is removable AND also simply plugs into the cigarette lighter plug under the dash (so no extra wiring required). I'll check with him again early january to see if it is coming out and will let you guys know. Might be worth the wait!
Iceburgh, that's one mean looking machine you got there! I really like it!
I am sure I am sure I will be working at York or Carlisle that weekend for the Ford show. I am sure we can hook up someplaceQuote:

Six years ago my title process was a pain in the ass because of the previous owner's out of state registration, but had no problems with things like tinted glass (all windows and windshield); no outside mirrors; no front bumper; and, no wipers. Have all now except bumper. As to annual inspections, it all depends on the shop and mechanic. Mine looks at the car, checks the mileage against the prior year, declares "it's a streetrod", slaps a sticker on it, hits me for $26. PA titling regs are looser than they use to be, but documenting the build of a "reconstructed" car is a whole lot worse. When I titled the required documentation was 3 pages, now i'ts 21.
Back then, PennDot wouldn't take digital pictures, wanted only photos on photo paper preferrably from a film camera. Some insurance companies won't accept digital either.
I opted for the streetrod plate instead of the daily driver plate for insurance reasons, but there is little difference.
Good luck.
21 pages and if they find something wrong they stop where they are and send it back. You would think they woul dcomplete and outline all areas they need corrected but they dont. My uncle it took him 4 months before he said the heck with it and went with a regular tag. That is the reason I went the same route witha regular tag.Quote:

How do you guys do that photshop thing?
I would be glad to pay for some photoshop ideas on two-toning or maybe just graphics on my DeSoto. Is that a service anyone offers?
