Hi Guys, just saw this ad come up - wish I was in the mkt right now, looks like a great deal for a "magazine" car built by a reputable builder, no?
Been away from the board for a while (new baby) but I was surprised this wouldnt be sent to BJ? Thoughts?

Nice car, but I wouldn't want it--just isn't my style. But I think the price is a little high despite the fact it is a NSRA giveaway car. There just is not that much car there to be asking that much. The high 30's would be what any other car of it's kind and quality would be going for.
Really? Even with the steel brookville body and I assume the body work is really nice based on all of the Cornhusker cars I have seen. Granted the engine package is "belly button" - but its gotta cost near that to build it I would think. Thanks for the input - guess thats why it is still for sale.
The car has some nice work in it, and some expensive parts, but I agree that $ 52K is a lot of money. To build it you might have that kind of money in it, but trying to recoup that when selling it is hard if not impossible.
I would have to spend my $ 52K somewhere else, I'm afraid. Let's put it this way, this is certainly not a steal.

I'll sing some harmony with the guys. Steel body helps, and even though it's an extended cab, there's a more limited market for this style. Personally I really like this type of rig, but realize many don't. Lynn's opinion on price is pretty sound, although it still comes down to the willing buyer/willing seller thing. We're going into the soft time of the year for ready to run rigs demand wise. The other cliche' of "There's a butt for every seat" proves out too though. I'd bet he had it at the GG deal in Spokane last week and had no takers. If he's really motivated as he says he'll get real before long. His best shot to get anywhere close to that money was the past few days at Pleasanton..........the deep pocket/motivated buyers seem to always show up there.
BTW Jordan, any progress toward a Spencer clone in your garage?

$52000 would buy ALOT of toys.(in good shape)
I have about $27,000 in mine, and thats with me doing everything except sewing the top and upholstery, and hand pinstriping. However, if you are not capable of the many hundreds of hours of welding, bodywork, chassis design, etc., then the $52,000 is about right. If I was to sell mine, and charge a nominal $25 per hour, it would cost about the same when I figured in my material cost and labour.
