Its a bit sad when you WIN a car,and then you got to sell it to pay the taxes incurred by being in the right place at the right time...or is it??Yeesh,Im confused here...Glad our government[note small g]hasnt thought of that one...yet..

Man thats just not right, having to sell something like that. I got to thinking about that and what I would do if I won a Duece Roadster. The more thought I put into it the worse my headache got. Now that could be partly the problem of me giving anything much thought. But if you think about this, hell I might have to sell it as well.

Car valued at $65,000, so that would be added income of $65,000 on top of what ever else money you made that year, or a total tax hit of around 30 to 35% or so around $19,500 to around $22,700 bucks add to that sales tax. Here in Bama thats low at 4% but if you lived in lets say California it could be 7.25% to a over 8.5% in same parts of that state that could be another 5 or 5 and a half thousand dollars. So now were looking at close to $30,000 just in taxes. Yea i would sell it Too.....
