well I spent the last 2 weeks but my motor is ready.
One question who make some type of cover that is polished to go over the ugly black AC
Larry....this is my 1st build ever. I have always been in Corvettes but after working with my father in law and doing a frame off on a '51 Chevy truck I wanted something of my own. So I am trying to sell my Vette and I bought a glass body car from HB classics.Quote:

I am doing everything including interior, motor and Paint.
Never did it before(have painted numerous times) but cant imagine it being to tough.
Rod doors and Flaming River are helping me out with many of the items I need. I work with Meguiars so this car (if it turns out the way I hope) will be on display often at shows with Meguiars so it is easy to get other companies to help out.
Hope to have it done for the Hot Rod Power tour next year
iceburgh, great lookin' motor :) . As for the compressor cover, let your mind roll on and consider how you, as a hot rodder, can do it yourself. What about getting some of the extruded aluminum tubing with the fins on it that the tranny cooler guys use. Cut it down the middle into two halves and heliarc some ears on each end, drill and tap 'em and have yourself a high-zoot cover for little money. I'm sure all you'd have to do is show it a couple of times and you'd have orders from other rodders. I can see it now.....
ICEBURGH COMPRESSOR COVERS
This fantastically successful enterprise was begun modestly in a home garage in New Bloomfield, Pennsylvania and has gone on to purchase some of the most successful companies in the aftermarket automotive field such as Mr. Gasket, Edelbrock and many others.........:)
Tech, I love your thinking. :D
Iceburgh; Looks like you may have built too much motor for that truck, look it already blew the front end off!!!
Nice job!!!
