Randy's car is a Cabriolet....it is a really nice body made by JB Donaldson in Phoenix. Randy worked with Donaldson on the implementation. I have sat in one of the cars and it is a quality piece. I was impressed with the solid construction.
Randy had one built that was almost as low as ours. As I remember, the hairpin mount was 2 1/2 inches off the floor.
Regarding the Dearborn Deuce, we have one of the steel bodies. The glass bodies were introducted to capture the market that doesnt want to pay the $$$$ for the steel one. The body is made by Downs (apparently). The top mechanism is the same as is on the steel car. You can do the math regarding the cost of a Downs roadster vs this car.....how much are you paying for a folding top?? It may be right for you or it may not. There is supposed to be one in Louisville.
