Raymond- I gotta question for you if you don't mind...

For a little background, I have a 32 Ford 5 window. It is the original body, chassis, doors, trunk, hood, etc., but the front fenders were pretty banged up, so we opted for glass front fenders and running boards. They are Gibbons fenders and running boards.

The rear fenders are bolted in place, the right side running board is in place, and we are trying to fit the front fenders. Well, where the end of the front fenders meet the running boards, it is flush on the outside edge, but on the inside- beside the frame rail, is a gap about 3/4". I understand the "lip" (over the frame horns) will have to be trimmed down to make it flush with the frame rails, and have even cut out around the radiator a bit to get the front of the right fender in closer to the radiator- basically the only option to eliminate the gap at the running board.

The fenders should have been mocked up before paint, but it didn;t work out that way. The car was moved in a short notice to Ohio from Florida, so the paint work had to be completed.

Now I am left with painted fenders that will seemingly not fit. I was just wondering what you would suggest.

Thanks for any help,
Greg
