will 305 heads on 350 help any?

I've heard if you put 305 heads on a 350 then the compression ratio will jump up, because of small sombustion chambers, but since thier 305 heads they also restrict airflow because of small valves. I was wondering which way this goes? Does it overall help because the higher compression is greater than the airflow restriction? Or does this hurt because the air flow isnt good enough and outweighs the compression ration increase?

this has been discussed I dont know how many times. both statements are true. Compression will increase, increase to the point you wont be running pump gas. So, itll make more torque, with more compression. However, your power band will be done at about 4000 RPMS...so, if you have use for a low rpm engine that requires fuel additive thanyour in the ball park. I dont know what use that could possibly be.
