 i guess your talking about where the oil pressure switch goes.:D
i dont know but some of the old v8s had a thing there for the oikl breather i think
Yes it is for the oil pressure switch, it should be wired to either a gauge or to a waring light. You can also use a manual gage that has a tube from the gauge to there and is held in place by a compression fiting, they are cheaper if your thinking of replacing one.
Usually takes an old geezer to remember these thangs as the newbies haven't a clue..
 i knew that but i couldnt remember, now thats old:LOL:   **) **) **)

My 63 327 vette motor came with the whole behind the intake, what I did was to put a pcv grommet from a bbc valve cover in the hole and it that a copper pipe that I ran a rubber line to the underside of the air cleaner, then the fill tube on the intake for the oil I silver soldiered 3/8 female pipe fitting with a pcv valve that goes to the vacuum on the intake manifold. If you don't have the oil fill on the intake you can put a pcv in the the road draft grommet and run a tube from the valve cover to the underside of the air cleaner. Ed ke6bnl
I invert a soft plug & insert it in mine.....then use the pcv valve in the valve cover. If you use a rubber one watch it later for leaking.
run it into your eXhaust & suck those fumes "OUTTA THERE!"
anyone running pan evacuators anymore? or just the BiG RPM guys?
Ya mean these :3dSMILE:
